The Port Townsend Arts Commission Work Plan for 2023
Includes (but not limited to):
1.Carefully evaluate grant applications of artist and art organizations and make recommendations
to city of Port Townsend.
2.Review and refine our grant requirements as needed.
3.Create and implement the Port Townsend Poet Laureate program with the City Council.
4.Define our role in public art.
5.Complete an evaluation of the condition of public art in the city and submit recommendations
for maintenance.
6.Develop a procedure to update the public art site locations on our website.
7.Remain open to new possibilities and modify our work plan as necessary.
8.Publicize the availability of grants and educate resident about our functions and goals.
9.Expand the Poet Laureate model to include other artistic disciplines.
