Program Grant Criteria
Grant Criteria 1
The City of Port Townsend will have project funds
obligated by June 30th of the allocation year.
Grant Criteria 2
The project will be located within the public right of
way and will be open for public access.

This project meets the following local and Peninsula
RTPO Regional Transportation Plan policies:
Improves pedestrian access on an important regional corridor
(SR20)
Improves regional transportation linkages for pedestrians
Improves safety of existing infrastructure
Improves the regional economy

Grant Criteria 4
The City of Port Townsend is currently working on the WSDOT Prospectus
and Environmental Classification Summary (ECS) which will start the
City’s NEPA review with WSDOT. A Port Townsend Critical Area Permit
and SEPA review will follow. Planned construction in 2018 allows for full
completion of NEPA and other permitting processes and agency approvals.
Grant Criteria 5
At this time only the design is funded.
Grant Criteria 6
The City will secure and provide the minimum match of 13.5% as it seeks
the additional funds to construct the project. A completed design will allow
the City to better apply for other construction funds.
