Adjourn Civil Service Commission Minutes – March 2, 2022 Page 1 of 1 Civil Service Commission Minutes Date: March 2, 2022 Scheduled Time: 1:30 p.m. Location: Via Conference Call Members Present: Richard Knight (Chair) and Gail Ryan Staff Present: Director of People and Performance Pamela Martinez, Police Chief Tom Olson, and Legal Assistant Amber Long Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 1:33 p.m. Approval of Minutes Motion to approve minutes of February 9, 2022 passed unanimously. Public Comment None Action: Approve Lateral Officer Eligibility List Motion passed unanimously to (verbally) approve the lateral officer hiring eligibility list, with written approval to be sent to City staff following adjournment of meeting (due to remote format). The Commission made a further unanimous motion to approve a conditional offer to the top remaining candidate on the lateral officer hiring list, pending a successful Chief’s interview. Action: Approve Police Records Lead Eligibility List Motion passed unanimously to (verbally) approve the Police Records Lead hiring eligibility list, with written approval to be sent to City staff following adjournment of meeting (due to remote format). The Commission made a further unanimous motion to approve an offer to the candidate on the hiring list. Community Services Officer Hiring Update Motion passed unanimously to authorize the City to make an offer to the Chief’s top candidate for the Community Services Officer position.
