Chair Pam Adams called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: October 13 and December 11, 2020 Unanimous Approval
Lodging Tax Revenue Reports: Finance and Administrative Services Director Nora Mitchell presented the lodging tax revenue reports.
Chamber Marketing Report: Arlene Alen updated the Committee on the
newly collected statistics at the Chamber.
Chamber Budget and Marketing Plan: City Manager John Mauro led the discussion on the Chamber budget and marketing plan noting that the Chamber’s scope of work needs to be narrowed to better align with the
budget. It was clarified that the Committee’s roll is to make recommendations on which services they feel are a priority. The Committee reviewed the proposed budget allocations and discussed options for a reduction in marketing efforts. Concerns were expressed about a possible typo in the calculation of Payroll Taxes and Insurance. Committee Members
requested confirmation on this amount.
There was agreement to remove the PT Leader Getaway Guide advertising from the budget.
Main Street – Streetscape Enhancement Project: Mari Mullen introduced two possible scenarios to support the Open Streets Concept downtown in 2021.
There was unanimous agreement that the Adams Street Parklet would be the preferred option for a streetscape enhancement project.
Committee Announcements: Committee Members each provided updates on recent events and projects within each organization.
