Chief Olson reported 3 Officer vacancies, one of which is a sergeant opening, plus
there is 1 unfunded Officer position for a total of 4 Officer vacancies. He shared
that an Officer is on another agency’s hiring list and may be hired within the next 4-
6 weeks. There may also be a retirement at the end of the year, so we may need
to fill 5 or 6 positions this year. The Community Services Officer position is
currently being covered by a 4-month temp contact and we now have a contact
with the County for animal control services.
