HomeMy WebLinkAboutMcClellan and Discovery - observations to add to the list of locations to look intoWhen Joe Finn (NMTAB) did his bike/ped counts, he made some other notes about his observations at McClellan and Discovery. I wanted to pass along the notes to you two, so we can add
them to our list of locations to look into.
* Flashing school zone light should go on ½ hour sooner.
* The morning flashing school zone sign comes on at 7:45, which is too late.
* A parent complained that the flashing school zone sign for 20 mph should be moved further west.
* A parent complained about the vulnerability of the McClellan crosswalk – should be in the school zone with signage and a crossing guard.
* Traffic is too fast at McClellan and Discovery – both directions.
* Traffic speed data should be collected at Discovery and McClellan.
Thanks, Laura
