HomeMy WebLinkAbout20-060 Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Agreement with the Jefferson County Public Utilities District No 1 to Finance the Street Lights for Water Street and Jefferson Street Through a Fifteen Year Loan Resolution 20-060 RESOLUTION NO. 20-060 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE JEFFERSON COUNTY PUBLIC UTILITIES DISTRICT NO 1 TO FINANCE STREET LIGHTS FOR WATER STREET AND JEFFERSON STREET THROUGH A FIFTEEN YEAR LOAN WHEREAS, the Water Street and Jefferson Street projects included installation of street lights per Resolution 19-055 that authorized the financing of 22 street lights at a cost of approximately $20 per month per light; and WHEREAS, as both projects are complete and involved the installation of 27 street lights; and WHEREAS, the monthly cost for the installation of all 27 lights will be $548 for fifteen year; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with the Jefferson County Public Utilities District No. 1 to finance 27 street lights for Water Street and Jefferson Street through a fifteen year loan. ADOPTED by the City Council of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof, held this 16th day of November 2020.
