A. Arbor Day
B. Park Name Change (Dahlia Park)
A. Debbie Jahnke reported that the “tree adoption” event on
Saturday at Mountain View parking lot was very successful.
B. Debbie Jahnke expressed concern about religious naming of City
property. The suggested name change for the park is “Brighten
the Corner” which is the title of a religious hymn. The name is
also thought to be too long.
A motion was made by John Nowak and seconded by Jennifer
Rotermund that the City go back to the Master Gardeners and
ask for another name option that would be a single non-religious
word. The motion passed unanimously. Alex Wisniewski noted
that until that change is made the park will remain Daliah Park.
New Business
A. Recreation & Maintenance Update
B. Golf Course RFP Evaluation and Alternative Uses
C. Golf Course Future
A. Alex Wisniewski gave an update on current department
operations. John Nowak noted that the JeffCo Aquatic Coalition
(John is a board member) is in support of the pool reopening.
B. Alex Wisniewski gave an overview of the report made to Council
with the results of the Golf Course Survey as well as the RFP
evaluation and interview process that has occurred.

Why are we here today?
The existing traffic signals are:
•Obsolete, suspended on span wire instead of the
preferred mast arms
•Requiring frequent and extensive updates to
keep them working
Stakeholder engagement:
•Work with community partners to identify any issues
and concerns with the intersection alternative
•Develop an alternative that addresses community
issues and concerns
