RESOLUTION NO. 20-054
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A PARTIAL RELEASE OF A
UTILITY EASEMENT IN VACATED GISE STREET BETWEEN 19th AND 201h
STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend vacated a portion of Gise Street between 19th
and 20t" Street in Ordinance 1775, but retained a utility easement across the vacated street(the
"Utility Easement"). The utility easement was modified in ordinance 2200 to reduce the
easement to 10' with 5' being on either side of the centerline of the vacated street; and,
WHEREAS, the Utility Easement is not serving any adjoining properties, and these
properties have been developed with utility service in other areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Manager is authorized to sign a partial release for the Utility Easement located
in the vacated portion of Gise Street between 19th and 20th Street.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular
meeting thereof, held this 19th day of October 2020.
