A. Arbor Day Proclamation
A. Debbie Jahnke presented a draft Arbor Day Proclamation for
review. She asked for approval to add pandemic language
suggested by John Nowak and to remove the mention of J.
Sterling Morton from the document in light of his anti-
abolitionist and racist beliefs that have just recently been
published by the Arbor Day Foundation. The Board unanimously
approved the new verbiage of the proclamation.

D. Golf Course Alternative Use Ideas
A. Alex Wisniewski gave an update on staffing and current coverage
for maintenance and recreation.
B. Alex Wisniewski reported that budget process has just begun and
budget reductions are expected in 2021 due to COVID-19.
C. Alex Wisniewski reported on the public engagement that is in
process for the Golf Course. The survey is live and has over 500
responses so far.
D. Alex Wisniewski presented a table for working through the
specific areas of alternative use as developed from the
Community Goals and led the Board through an exercise to
gather their ideas for alternative uses.
