Project Description. The Work of approximately 212,569 linear feet of white edge line (4 inch and some 6 inch) and 94,266 linear feet of yellow center line and shall include all labor,
equipment, paint and glass beads necessary to restripe the City streets. The paint shall be Ennis Traffic Paint (Low VOC solvent-based paint) and there are areas of skip line painting
and continuous line painting throughout the city. The City will furnish one person to ride in the striping truck to insure completion and accuracy of the City-wide striping. The Work
shall be completed no earlier than August or later then the end of September, as weather permits. The preferred timeframe is around the middle to third week of August. The Work shall
also include the placement and pickup of protective cones, and any other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.

Questions which may impact the project or bid will be answered, in writing, in the form of an addendum and distributed to the contractors or firms appearing on the plan holder’s list.
Schedule and Completion Time. The successful bidder will have 5 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed to physically complete the Work.
Liquidated Damages. Liquidated damages for delay of $100.00 per day will be assessed for each day of failure to complete the physical work of the Contract on time.
Bid Submittal. Bidders may submit sealed bids mailed to the instructions to Bidders or may send an electronic copy via email to ecoler@cityofpt.us
Date for Bids. Bids will be accepted until 2:00pm Thursday, June 18, 2020 mailed to City Clerk’s Office, 250 Madison Street Suite 2, Port Townsend, WA 98368 or bids may be delivered
electronically to Emily Coler at ecoler@cityofpt.us . It is the bidder’s responsibility to request verification the bid has been received when submitting a bid electronically. Any bids
received after the specified time and date will not be considered.
Prescribed Forms. Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed bid forms.
Right to Reject Bids. The City of Port Townsend reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the City of Port Townsend and to waive
all informalities and irregularities in the bidding.
