TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS: The attention of all prospective bidders on the above project is directed to the following modifications and additions to the Contract Documents, which are hereby made a part of the Contract Provisions and Plans. City Engineer City of Port Townsend Attachments: Special Provisions Addendum No.7 Page 3 of 3 Rainier St. Regional Stormwater 1 1-09.9 Payments 2 Section 1-09.9 is supplemented with the following" 3 4 The quantity of the following items to be paid for on this project shall be the quantity 5 shown in the Proposal, unless changes are made in accordance with Section 1-04.4 6 which affect this quantity. The quantity shown in the Proposal will then be adjusted by the 7 amount of the change and will be paid for as specified in Section 1-04.4. 8 9 Common Borrow, Ind' Haul 10 Roadway Excavation 11 Structure Excavation, Class B 12 Embankment Compaction 13 14 The quantities in the Proposal are listed only for the convenience of the Contractor in 15 determining the volume of work involved and are not guaranteed to be accurate. The 16 prospective bidders shall verify these quantities before submitting a bid. No adjustments 17 other than for approved changes will be made in the quantity even though the actual 18 quantities required may deviate from those listed. 19 20 The unit contract price for these items shall be full pay to construct and complete this 21 portion of the work. 22 23 24 2-03 Roadway Excavation and Embankment 25 2-03.1 Description 26 Section 2-03. 1, paragraph 1 is replaced with the following: 27 28 The Work described in thils section, regardless of the nature or type of the materials 29 encountered, includes excavating and grading the gravel maintenance road, Roadway, 30 excavating in borrow pits, excavating below grade, excavating channels and ditches, 31 removing slide material, and disposing of all excavated material. These activities may be 32 performed in making cuts, embankments, slopes, Roadway ditches, approaches, parking 33 areas, Highway -driveway intersections, and in completing related Work. The Work 34 includes the reirri of pavement, sidewalks, curbs and gutters as described in Section 35 2-02 when these items lie within an excavation area. 36 37 2-09 Structure Excavation 38 2-09.1 Description 39 Section 2-09. 1, paragraph 1 is replaced with the following: 40 41 Structure excavation consists of excavating and disposing of all natural material or 42 main -made objects that must be removed to make way for storm infiltration ponds, 43 trench overexcavation, bridge foundations, retaining walls, culverts, trenches for 44 pipelines, conduits, and other Structures as shown in the Plans. 1
