Mike Kenna had told me that the replacement shingle was going to
be "black" but the sample provided is definitely not (it appears to
be a Hickory from GAF, or a Harvest Brown from Pabco).
Attached is the list of pre-approved roofing that HPC has said is
OK to approve administratively. Suzanne, would you please
forward onto the roofing contractor so they and Mike can consider
an alternative roofing. Othewise, if Mike does want this it'll have
to go before the whole committee (who meet again next Tuesday,
so if application turned in today it would make the agenda).

This commercial roofing permit application to replace shingles
with composition roofing involves property within the Historic
District. Therefore it first requires review and approval from the
Historic Preservation committee (HPC). Their next meeting is
September 15. An application is attached; it costs $58.00. HPC
needs color samples of the proposed roof, either a description or
color attached to each application, or a roofing sample brought to
the meeting. Someone will need to be present at the September 15
meeting. Materials are due by September 9.
