This grill is capable of 300 cfm at .006ps and 580 cfm at .021 ps. It will provide both horizontal and vertical cross ventilation and not require a damper. The position low in the door will trap the majority of heated air above the grill and produce very little convective heat loss potential through the grill as would occur with an intake grill located higher on the wall. This portion of the slab had a thickened edge primarily to minimize differential settlement between the existing building floor slab and the floor slab for the addition. We are changing the configuration of the thickened edge to an 8-inch wide by 8-inch deep section with 244 reinforcing bars encased in the concrete. Please call me if you have any questions. Arrived at the site approximately 0900 hours. Reviewed VP drawing notes and specifications, HS bolting A325 1/4" diameter bolts, main frames, portal beams and diagonal bracing. POST INSTALLATION HS BOLTING INSPECTION VP building addition has three main frames, two portal beams with angle diagonal braces. All require HS A325 bolts fully tensioned per specifications. A325 HS '/4" diameter bolts installed per specifications, bolting crew said bolts tensioned by "turn of the nut" method, 1/3 turn beyond a"snug tight" condition. Tensioned bolts match marked for rotation. INSPECTION Established inspection torque value of 335 ft. lbs. to reach 28kips, as installed tension (used Skidmore-Wilhelm to establish torque value). Tested minimum of two bolts per connection. 16 bolts, 3/4x2 A325, angle braces at portal beams, did NOT meet inspection torque value. These bolts were tensioned by Grant bolting crew, observed tightening, and met inspection torque value.
