A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND
UPDATING AND PROVIDING FOR DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT
LAND DEVELOPMENT PERMIT, APPLICATION AND APPEAL FEES
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, on recommendation of the
City Manager and City Development Services Director determines it appropriate to update the
Development Services fees established in Resolution 14-007 (approved March 17, 2014), as set
forth in this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
SECTION 1. New Fees Established. Effective January 1, 2020, the hourly rate for
Development Services Department permit and application fees will be $83.00. The Finance and
Administrative Services Director and the Development Services Director will modify the
Development Services Department fee schedule to reflect the new hourly rate.
SECTION 2. Annual adjustments. The Finance and Administrative Services Director
will annually review the hourly rate and effective January 1 of each year following 2020, will
adjust the hourly rate by the annual percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban
Consumers (CPI-U) June to June rounded to nearest whole dollar.
SECTION 3. Flood Development/Habitat Assessment Fees. Effective January 1,
2020, the Flood Development/Habitat Assessment Fees will be per the table below:

SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this Resolution or its application to any
Resolution 19-084

person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the application of the
provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
SECTION 5. Effective Date. This Resolution is effective January 1, 2020.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 21 st day of October 2019.
