Dear Mrs. Graham:
I have been in touch with Washington Mutual Bank regarding the Deed of Trust that secures the repayment of
the loan to you. At this point, I have submitted a Subordination Agreement to their Seattle Special Services
office and I am anticipating that agreement will be signed soon and returned for recording. As soon as the
signed agreement is returned, the City will be able to complete the purchase of the easement.
Please sign the enclosed copy of this letter to indicate your approval of the City's offer to purchase, at a cost of
$1,175, an easement through the South 15 feet in width of Lot 8, including a right of access and use of the
adjacent portions of that lot for construction purposes. As indicated in my prior correspondence, the City will be
responsible for restoring the lot to its condition at the time the construction activities were commenced.
Your written approval will be the basis for submitting this matter to the City Council in order to authorize the
Finance Director to release the funds to pay for the easement. An escrow with First American Title Corporation
will be opened for the purpose of completing the transaction. The City will pay the associated costs, including
excise tax, title insurance and recording fees.
