RESOLUTION NO. 19-040
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON DECLARING A 19.72 ACRE PARCEL BETWEEN FOUR CORNERS
ROAD AND ANDERSON LAKE ROAD SURPLUS AND SETTING SALE TERMS
RECITALS:
A. The City Council determines Assessor Parcel No. 901043001, approximately 19.72 acres
of land located adjacent to the OGWS transmission pipeline between Four Corners Rd.
and Anderson Lake Rd. (Legal Description: S4 T29 R1 W TAX 5 W/EASE), is surplus to
the City's needs and not needed for utility purposes.
B. The parcel was originally acquired in the 1990s as a potential water treatment site for the
Tri-Area. The parcel is located in the County and has never been put to use by the utility.

property.
C. Jefferson County has zoned the parcel as IF-20 - Inholding Forest and assessed the parcel
at$163,600 for tax purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend as follows:
1. For the reasons set forth in the Recitals, the City Council determines and declares
Assessor Parcel No. 901043001 described in the Recitals to be surplus to the City and not
needed for utility purposes,
2. The value of the property is to be determined by property appraisal.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular
meeting thereof, held this 6th day of May 2019.
