Home My WebLink About19-021 Adopting an Updated Salary Range for the City Manager Recruitment Resolution 19-021 RESOLUTION NO. 19-021 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING AN UPDATED SALARY RANGE FOR THE CITY MANAGER RECRUITMENT WHEREAS, the Port Townsend City Manager has notified the City Council of his intent to retire on June 30, 2019; and WHEREAS,the City is engaged in recruiting a new City Manager; and WHEREAS, as part of the recruiting process, the City Council formed a citizen task force that engaged in extensive public outreach including public meetings, forums, and a survey; and WHEREAS, the City Council conducted a retreat to formulate its expectations and desired traits for a new City Manager; and WHEREAS, using the extensive information-gathering process, a job description has been written; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows: 1. The Council adopts the proposed salary schedule for non-represented employees in substantially the same form as the schedule at Exhibit A, which removes the City Manager from the salary schedule effective July 1, 2019. 2. The Council adopts the proposed salary range of$125,000 - $163,000 for the City Manager recruitment.
