It sounds like I don't need to come in to the office in person to sign
anything or pay a fine.
Thank for the dates regarding the tenants listing on Craig's list, that
was definitely not Jay's doing as he was gone, and since you
mailed him and he did not comment the matter to me he must have
assumed that the issue was resolved.
As to your caution:
"If the owner ever wants to continue with this building, he would
need to apply for a new building permit as the 2008 file is
expired."
Thanks for the heads up, although it is a non-issue at this point
because the owner is many thousands of dollars away from being
able to continue construction as it is the plumbing (mostly the
sewage, as it is below grade and below existing Ctty infrastructure)
and wiring which remain and which are the most costly. He is
happy to use it as his writer's hut or retreat for writing poetry. (I
don't mean to imply that it is a rustic shack though - the interior is
very nice with lots of pretty exposed woodwork and even a tile
floor).
