As we have discussed, the carport addition submitted as part of BLD08-213 last October cannot be issued at this time as it needs a minor shoreline substantial development permit. Building Permit BLD08-213 has expired, since over six months have passed since the submittal date. A new building permit is required. ln order for us to review a building permit application for the replacement of windows, roof and siding and repair of the driveway and sidewalk (and possibly the interior kitchen remodel), please provide the following: 1 . A written scope of work for the window, roof, and siding replacement (i.e. existing and proposed materials, window locations). 2. A site plan indicating where the driveway and sidewalk will be repaired, as I did not see it on the submitted plans. This is on-site and not in the right-of-way, correct? Any work in the City right-of-way would require a Minor lmprovement Permit. 3. lf you wish to include the kitchen remodel with this permit, please provide a written scope of work and floor plan. 4. A project valuation amount for the work to be included the building permit. 5. A check for $200.00 payable to the City of Port Townsend. This is for partial payment of the building plan review fee ($150.00 typically paid at time of plan submittal but was not received with BLD0B-213) plus $50.00 for Consultrng Fire Code lnspector Tom Aumock's preparation of a report for the carport (one hour preparing it @ $50.00 per hour). After we receive the $200.00, we will forward his report to you. 6. An updated commercial building permit application. I have attached one to this email. We will mail the carport addition plans back to you so they can be resubmitted in the future under a new building permit after the minor shoreline substantial development permit is issued. Please note, a new rock retaining wall with a maximum height 6 feet is proposed north of the proposed carport needs engineering plans. Please submit 2 sets of copies, one wet-stamped. Please let me know if you have questions.
