The following shall apply to above-ground containers installed alongside buildings:
1. Containers of less than a 125-gallon water capacity are allowed next to the building they serve when in compliance
with Items 2,3, and 4.
2. Depart ofTransportauon (DOT) specification containers shall be located and installed so that the discharye from the
container pressure relief device is at least 3 feet horizontally ftom building openings below the level of such
discharge and shall not be beneath buildings unless the space is well ventilated to the outside and is not enclosed
for more than 50o/o of its perimeter. The discharge from container pressure relief devices shall be located no less
than 5 feet from exterior sources of ignition, openings into direct-vent (sealed combustion system) appliances or
mechanical ventilation air intakes,
3. ASME containers of less than l25-gallon water capacity shall be located and installed such that the discharge from
pressure relief devices shall not terminate in or beneath buildings and shall be located at least 5 feet horizontally
from building openings below the level of such discharge and not less than 5 feet from exterior sour@s of ignition,
openings into direct vent (sealed combustion system) appliances, or mechanical ventilation air intakes.
4. The filling connection and the vent from liquidlevel gauges on either DOT of ASME containers filled at the point in
installation shall not be less than 10 feet from exterior sources of ignition, openings into direct vent (sealed
combustion system) appliances or mechanical ventilaUon air intakes,
Please draw a simple plot plan below so we can easily locate the LPG container. Indicate container
size and type, gas piping and regulator location, and setbacks to building. Include the adjacent street

RE: Sprint-Nextel Generator installation - lglg 20ft Street - (Site # WA05l2)
Dear Sir or Madam:
Please see the enclosed Mechanical Permit Application including plans and generator specifications for
Sprint-Nextel's proposed diesel generator installation at an existing wireless communications site
located at the above referenced address.
The proposed project is to install a 40kW diesel generator on a small concrete pad adjacent to an
existing communications tower within the tower compound - see Sheet A-2 on the attached plans. The
generator will be used for back-up power for Sprint-Nextel's wireless communications facility in the
event of a power emergency. The proposed generator is a self-contained unit including the engine and
fuel tank enclosed within an earth-tone metal cover. All required fees will be paid prior to permit
issuance.
Please call me at206.218.6549 should you have any questions or concems regarding this application. I
greatly appreciate your help in this matter.

1919 20th St Permit
lmportance:High
Hi George,
The permit fees due for the permit are a whopping $116.50. :) Waited towards the end of the day to
check on the city business license for Eagle Communications Services and they still have not
secured one. The permit cannot be issued without Eagle obtaining a city business license. The form
can be obtained at the city's website: www.cityofpt.us. At the home page is an icon for forms and
they can find it there.
Let me know if you need anything else!
Thanks very much.

RE: Sprint-Nextel Generator installation - 1919 20ft Street - (Site # WA0512)
All required fees will be paid priorto permit
issuance.
Please call me at206.218.6549 should you have any questions or concems regarding this application. I
greatly appreciate your help in this matter.
