RIGHTS-OF.WAY & TIDAL WATERS
Any damage to rights-of-way caused by contractor during the
course of construction, loading, staging, etc. shall be restored to
pre-existing, or better, condition at contractor's expense. Storage
of materials in City rights-of-way or on the beach is prohibited at
all times without prior permission/permits from the City. No
equipment shall be operated on the beach.
NOTICE OF ACTIVITY
The applicant shall be responsible for notifuing all neighboring
businesses ond/or residents of the scope and timing of the approved
and pending work andfor securing ony necessary rights-of-access
acros s intervening properties

GENERAL CONDITTONS
1. Contractors working on this project are required to have a Labor & Industries contractor's resistration
number and a Citv business license. Failure to provide proof of this documentation prior to work may
result in job shut down while this is accomplished"
2. Temporary erosion and sediment control (TESC) measures shall be installed on-site and inspected prior
to beginning construction; call385-2294. Measures shall include installation of silt fencing and graveled
construction entrance (see attached details). Adjacent rights-of-way shall be kept free of dirt debris. Soils
exposed during construction shall be temporarily stabilized with mulching, plastic sheeting, etc. Soils
shall be permanently stabilized with seeding, plantings, sodding, etc. once construction is complete.
Applicant is responsible for protection of adjacent properties.

STRIP FOOTINGS - minimum 4,000 psi concrete is required; no
special inspection is required per David Pierce, engineer of record,
but contractor shall provide written verification of high strength
concrete mix at time of pour
Forms - minimum 10" deep per engineered design
Lining -forms shall be linedwith material to prevent direct contact
of the concrete with shoreline bed
Reinforcement- grade 60; #5 @ 12" o.c. eachway
TOWER CRIBBING
Positive Connections - red head expansion anchors are proposed;
engineer to specifu anchor length; stampings on the exposed end
shall be preserved to provide for subsequent embedment

using carbide tipped hammer drill bits.
FENCING
Details for the plastic fencing including scope of work, means of
installation, timing, etc. shall be submitted to the City for review
and approval a minimum of 48 hours prior to beginning the
proposed work
FINAL
Weekly inspection reports by structural engineer shall be copied to
the City.
The temporaryfootings shqll be removedfrom the beach and
disposed of upland to prevent re-entry into State waters within one
year ofplacement.

3. All elements of engineering including nailing, holdowns, sheathing, and alternate braced wall panels
(ABWP) require inspection prior to cover.
4. Owner or owner's agent shall review and oversee correction of any and all deficiencies noted by required
inspections.
5. Re-inspection is required after inspection report corrections are completed.
6. The Building Department is unable to pass final inspection on your project until Public Works
requirements have been completed and inspected. For Public Works inspection call385-2294. A
minimum of twentv-four hours notice is reoui Public Works annroval must be received nrior to
schedulins the Buildins Departmbntos final insnection.
7. final Inspections are required prior to occupancy; A Certificate of Occupancy is required for a non-
residential project.
8. All building permits expire if no progress has been made within six months, or if no inspections are done
by the Building Department within one year. Call for at least one inspection per year to keep your
building permit active.
9. Revisions require submittal and approval prior to making changes in the field. Contact the Building
Department Q79-3208) prior to making changes to the approved plans.
10. POST THIS PERMIT ON.SITE WITH THE APPROVED PLANS.
