If the l8 foot-wide existing driveway would be used for access, the adjacent gravel parking must be closed off by
landscaping or other means. A minor improvement permit would be required to pave the existing gravel driveway if
its use will be increased.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the Grantor/Owner of the above-referenced real property, to
potential purchasers and future owners, to agents or representatives, and to any other concerned
person or entity:
1) The Grantor, Francis Murray, has applied for the above building permit to
remodel a portion of the garage into an accessory dwelling unit (ADU)
that would share utilities with the single-family residence at 91 Vista
Boulevard. The ADU would have an address of 93 Vista Boulevard. In
addition to the two on-site parking spaces required for the single-family
residence, one additional space for the ADU will be provided either on-
site, or as an improved public on-street space if approved by the Public
Works Director (per PTMC Table 17.72.080 as amended by Ordinance
2e3e).
The Port Townsend Municipal Code (PTMC) requires that the property
owner reside on the subject property, in either the principal residence or
ADU in order to rent or lease the other unit. A one-year hardship waiver
may be granted by the City in accordance with PTMC 17.16.020.C.2.
Additionally, neither the principal nor accessory unit shall be used as a

I've reviewed the site plan revised and submitted today. Please see the notes in CHET. The driveway width (the
existing concrete driveway and the gravel access) is wider than the maximum allowed for residential of 20 ft.
The condition is to narrow the width and pave or concrete any additional width up to 20 ft. or close down the
existing gravel access and just use the existing concrete. Then inside the property they can widen to whatever
width they need. I guess the existing gravel access was/is being used for occasional RV access. However, now
that it is going to be used more regularly/daily, must comply with standards.
lf they decide to use only the concrete part and widen after they are on their property, no permit from PW is
required. However,lptease place thecondition that tl.* existing gravel access is to be closed off by landscaping
or other means. Othenrvise, an MIP is required. Thanks

I spoke with our Building Official Michael Hoskins, and 576.00 is due for a final inspection prior to our staff coming out
