HomeMy WebLinkAbout18-011 Authorizing the City Manager to Sign a Release of a Utility Easement in Vacated Jackson Street Between Lawrence and Clay StreetsResolution 18-011 RESOLUTION NO. 18-011 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN A RELEASE OF A UTILITY EASEMENT IN VACATED JACKSON STREET BETWEEN LAWRENCE AND CLAY STREETS WHEREAS, the City of Port Townsend vacated a portion of Jackson Street between Lawrence and Clay Street in Ordinance 1240, but retained a utility easement across the vacated street. (the "Utility Easement"); and, WHEREAS, the Utility Easement predominantly served properties on Hudson Place, which the properties have since connected to newer facilities in the Hudson Place right-of-way; Public Works staff have determined that the easement is no longer necessary for utility purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend as follows: The City Manager is authorized to sign a release for the Utility Easement located in the vacated portion of Jackson Street between Lawrence and Clay Streets.
