NON-MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Date: December 7, 2017 Time: 4:30 pm Location: City Hall 1st Floor Conference Room Members Present: Joe Finn, Pat Teal, Jolly Wahlstrom, Richard Dandridge, Mike Kaill, Scott Walker (Chair), Lys Burden Members Excused: Hendrik Taatgen, Mark Henthorn Staff Present: Park and Facilities Director Alex Wisniewski, Deputy City Clerk Joshua Stecker
Approval of Minutes: November 2, 2017 unanimously approved
Alex Wisniewski reviewed a proposed trail naming process. The Board unanimously recommended that trails should be named after the road/right-of-way they follow, with alternate names for designated routes.
The Board discussed potential trail projects and reviewed the draft notification procedures provided by Alex Wisniewski. The Board expressed approval of the draft procedures as presented.
Alex Wisniewski informed the Board that public comments received at the December 4th Council Meeting relevant to specific projects
would be added to City’s priority list.
The Board discussed the Walk Your Wheels sidewalk signage. Lys Burden will provide examples at the next meeting.
The Board discussed updates to the bicycle chapter of the Non-Motorized Transportation Plan. Board members will research options and examples for future discussion.
Next Meeting: Scheduled for January 4, 2018.
