NON-MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Date: November 2, 2017 Time: 4:30 pm Location: City Hall 1st Floor Conference Room Members Present: Joe Finn, Pat Teal, Jolly Wahlstrom, Richard Dandridge, Mike Kaill, Hendrik Taatgen, Scott Walker (Chair), Mark Henthorn, Lys Burden Members Excused: None Staff Present: Park and Facilities Director Alex Wisniewski, Civil Engineer III Laura Parsons, Deputy City Clerk Joshua Stecker
Approval of Minutes: October 5, 2017 unanimously approved
Laura Parsons presented the revised trail project priority list and map which reflected the Board’s recommendations from the prior meeting. The Board unanimously approved the list as presented.
The Board discussed the use of tiles in sidewalks instructing bicyclists to “walk your wheels.” Lys Burden will look for examples. Jolly
Wahlstrom will contacting Laughing Gnome pottery about providing samples.
Alex Wisniewski updated the Board on signage for the Loop Trail and other public trails. He notified the Board that an update to the Non-Motorized Transportation Plan would need to be undertaken soon.
A trail project was scheduled for November 18th at 32nd & Rosecrans.
Next Meeting: Scheduled for December 7, 2017.
