RESOLUTION NO. 17-050
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH KITSAP BANK FOR BANKING SERVICES
WHEREAS, The Finance and Budget Committee of City Council directed staff to issue
a request for information to local banks regarding the provision of banking services; and
WHEREAS, after interviews conducted by the Committee at a regularly scheduled
meeting on February 13, 2014, the banks were asked to submit proposals for banking services;
and,
WHEREAS, after review of the criteria contained in the Request for Proposals, the
Finance Committee at its August 20, 2014 meeting voted to recommend to the City Council that
the City enter into an agreement with Kitsap Bank for banking services; and,
WHEREAS, Council adopted Resolution 14-051, authorizing the City Manager to
negotiate and enter into an agreement with Kitsap Bank, which agreement expires November 30,
2017, and which provides for extension of the agreement for additional one-year terms; and,
WHEREAS, staff recommends extension of the contract for an additional year upon
terms to negotiated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
The City Manager is authorized to negotiate and enter into a three-year extension of the
banking services agreement with Kitsap Bank dated November 20, 2014.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 6th day of November, 2017.
