PARKS, RECREATION & TREE ADVISORY BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Date: March 28, 2017 Time: 4:30 pm Location: City Hall First Floor Conference Room
Members Present: Debbie Jahnke, Jim Todd, Ed Robeau (Chair), Paul Schutt, Roarke Jennings
Members Absent: Brenda McMillan
Staff Present: Parks & Facilities Manager Alex Wisniewski, Deputy City Clerk Joshua Stecker
Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action
Approval of Minutes The Minutes of February 28, 2017 were unanimously approved.
Alex Wisniewski updated the Board on recreation and maintenance activities
and reported on upcoming pool fee changes.
Paul Schutt will draft a letter to Council recognizing pool staff
and Alex Wisniewski.
Debbie Jahnke presented a revised draft of the Street Tree List. Debbie will take the list to a certified arborist for comment and draft recommended changes to the tree list in the Engineering Design Standards.
Ed Robeau led a discussion on ways to get the word out about new leash
laws.
The Board recommended posing information on the City
website and in the City newsletter. The Board will discuss off-leash area rules next month.
Margaret Lee commented on usefulness of swimming lesson programs.
