Description: The request is for minor, nditio 6l Use Permit (CUP) approval to open and operate an
educational institution (a we d y rking school) within the P/OS zoning district. The Port
Townsend School of Woa(lwo ng plans tooffer a year-round education in woodworking
with a mixture of day and ev nay \atot
es; week and two week-long classes and
ultimately twelve -week loiresidintensive programs. The focus will be hand -son
courses limited to 12 strr eats; l c, sane one day and evening courses may be
offered to as many as 24 students time. Parking is provided throughout the Fort
Worden State Park cocplex.
No other special studies or plans were requested for submittal of the application. Other permits (eluding
other agencies) not included in the application, to the extent known by the City may include a building
permit for interior work to the existing building.

comments must be received by the Development Services Department no later than 4:00 p.m., same date.
A statement of consistency will be made following review oflte application with the density and use
provisions of the underlying P/OS zone (PTMC 17.24), the criteria for Conditional Use Permit approval
(PTMC 17.84) and the City's Comprehensive Plan. A final decision on the application will be made
within 120 days of the date of the Determination of Completeness.
