1 . PLUMBING: If water pressure exceeds 80 psi, pressure reducing valve required.
2. FRAMING: Full 1-hr. construction in floor-ceiling assembly required for separation between
dwelling units or, smoke detectors in ADU and main house shall be interconnected. 20-minute
rated door required between units.
3. VAPOR BARRIER: None speed. on plans; vapor barrier required for exterior walls that will be
insulated/sheetrocked: 4 mil poly, kraft faced insulation or vapor barrier paint.
4. DRYWALUNAILING: 5/8" Type X sheetrock required for separation between dwelling units
(walls) with full 1-hour floor/ceiling assembly or interconnection of smoke detectors.
5. FINAL: The figures used in numbering the house shall be made of durable material which is
colored to contrast sharply with the background and shall be at least five inches high, and shall
be placed in a conspicuous place near the door so that the same may be easily seen from the
street. if the figures cannot be easily seen from the street, a second set of figures, which shall
be at least three inches high, shall be placed on a post or mailbox at the property line adjacent
to the main entrance on the street.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
A separate electrical permit is required for any electrical work.
2. Reinspections are required after any corrections are complete.
3. Final Inspections and approvals are required prior to occupancy.
4. All building permits expire if no progress has been made within six months, or if no inspections have
been made by the Building Department within one year. Call for at least one inspection per year to
keep your building permit active.
