SPECIAL CONDITIONS !RESTRICTIONS
2. TESC: Applicant/contractorsholl install temporary erosion control measures as required
during construction. Measures shall include but are not limited to installation of silt fencing and
graveled construction entrance. The public right-of-way, specifically Mason Street, shall be
kept clean. Tracking of mud and debris from the site will not be allowed. Failure to comply
with this condition will result in all work on the site being stopped. Areas disturbed by
construction activity which are not to be covered by permanent impervious surtaces (e.g.,
parking, walkways, driveways, porches) shall be landscaped or reseeded within seven days of
reaching final grade. Once construction is completed, the site must be permanently stabilized
with seeding, plantings, sodding, etc. Applicant is responsible for protection of adjacent
properties.
3. FOUNDATION: See Sheet 516 for STHD holdown locations.
4. FOUNDATION: See Sheet 5/6: 7/16" OSB w/ 6d nails @ 6" o.c. edges and 12" o.c. field
required when wood fdn. wall is under or within 4' of braced walls. 28" CS18 Simpson strap tie
down detail required ~ 4' o.c. for non-braced wood fdn. walls.
5. FLOOR FRAMING: See Sheet 4/6 for engineering: continuous blocking between joists
required where interior braced wall panels (IBWP) run perpendicular to joists. Doubled joists
required under IBWP running parallel to joists.
6. FLOOR FRAMING: See page 1 of General Notes in engineering design talcs regarding
framing.
7. PLUMBING: If water pressure exceeds 80 psi pressure reducing valve is required.
8. FRAMING: See General Notes in engineered design talcs re: wall framing.
9. FRAMING: See Sheet 616 for header sizes.
10. FRAMING: See Sheet 4/6 for braced wall panel details e.g., block all panel edges, bottom
plate nailing, etc.
11 . FRAMING: Minimum .60 U-factor required for windows with efficiency of heating appliance
unknown.
12. FRAMING: See Sheet 4/6, braced wall Tine between dining room/foyer and living room, far
solid 2 x 6 blocking requirement between bottom chords of trusses for drag strut.
13. ROOF FRAMING: Engineered truss plan required on-site ~ inspection time. Top chord
members to be sized for 30 psf snow load per engineering.
14. ROOF FRAMING: Exterior wall-to-roof connections: Simpson H-1 w/ 8d nails typical each
rafter or truss. Install Simpson CS18 tie straps over ridges where rafters are used ~ 48" o.c.
spacing. Use 6 10d nails per tie strap per engineering; see sheet 4/6.
15. INSULATION: Values on plans are higher than those required for compliance (see WSEC
non-electric heat application).
16. DRYWALL: See Sheet 4/6 for IBWP locations; 5d nails ~ 4" o.c.

1. A separate electrical permit is required for any electrical work.
2. Reinspections are required after any corrections are complete.
3. Final Inspections and approvals are required prior to occupancy.
4. All building permits expire if no progress has been made within six months, or if no inspections have
been made by the Building Department within one year. Call for at least one inspection per year to
keep your building permit active.
5. POST THIS PERMIT ON-SITE WITH THE APPROVED PLANS.
