SPECIAL CONDITIONS 1 RESTRICTIONS
1 . FOUNDATION: Seismic Anchors required; see plans for locations.
2. INSULATION: Insulation not required for unheated space. As oftentimes unheated space is
eventually converted to heated space and as applicant proposes to insulate walls and floors,
applicant may request that the Building Department inspect the insulation to verify compliance
with building and energy code standards.
3. VAPOR BARRIER: Not required for unheated space. However, walls and floors separating
heated space from unheated space require the installation of a vapor retarder, faced batt
insulation must be face stapled. If sun room space may be converted to heated space in the
future, applicant may choose to install vapor retarders and have them inspected by the
Building Department.
4. FRAMING: Air seal and window u-value compliance not required for unheated space.
However, as applicant proposes to install insulated windows and, as unheated space is often
converted to heated space, applicant may choose to call the Building Department for
inspection.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. A separate electrical permit is required for any electrical work.
2. Reinspedions are required after any corrections are complete.
3. Final Inspections and approvals are required prior to occupancy.
4, All building permits expire if no progress has been made within six months, or if no inspections have
been made by the Building Department within one year. Call for at least one inspection per year to
keep your building permit active.
5. POST THIS PERMIT ON-SITE WITH THE APPROVED PLANS.
