STAFF PRESENT: Deputy Clerk Joshua Stecker
Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action
Approval of Minutes: August 3, 2016 The minutes were unanimously approved.
Stan Rubin presented a draft budget request for the
Commission to review.
The Commission recommended asking the City to budget
$75,000 for public art installation(s) at the Visitor Information
Center and asking for $35,000 to fund arts initiatives, noting that $10,000 of the funding supports tourism-related events.
Stan Rubin will forward the request to the City Manager.
The Commission reviewed Ordinance 3156 related to the
naming criteria for City parks and facilities.
The Commission unanimously recommended Council approve
the Ordinance as presented.
Joshua Stecker asked the Commission to provide descriptions and background information on recent public
art installations.
Stan Rubin will draft an overview of the Pigeon Guillemots and
Great Blue installations and forward to Joshua Stecker for
publication on the City website.
