As a part of my review I compared the plans to the design for the shop pole building. The engineer's original design parameters for the building do not indicate that the addition of a second level was considered. The changes add additional floor loading to the structure and increase the lateral loading. The proposed change will need to be reviewed by the design engineer to confirm that the base structure can support the additional loading without modification or to provide necessary structural revisions. I will review the engineer's submittal as quickly as I can upon receipt to conclude the permitting process. If you have any questions I can be reached at 344-3041. Thank you.
