The evaluation was requested for an occupancy permit following a fire. That evaluation revealed a system that had been repaired with out a permit thus invalidating the existing permit. The evaluation stated the system must be repaired or hooked up to the city sewer depending on distance from a collection main. If hook-up to the city sewer is not allowed then a on-site repair would be required. Due to poor soils a wet season evaluation will need to, be conducted January through March. Recently this office became aware that the residence has become occupied and the septic system has not been repaired. This letter is to serve notice that you are in violation of Jefferson County Ordinance 2-77 and Washington State Onsite Sewage Code 246-272. You are required to provide for adequate sewage disposal for any residence on your property. Please contact this office within ten (10) days to inform us of the steps you intend to take to alleviate this violation. Sincerely Randy M Cc: C.L. Flint] City of Port Townsend Building Dept.
