RESOLUTION NO. 16-024
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD AND SIGN ALL
CONTRACTS FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE HOWARD
STREET REGIONAL STORMWATER PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City has been awarded a Department of Commerce Community
Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) grant and loan in the amount of a$300,000 grant and
$1,200,000 loan; and
WHEREAS, of the CERB funds the $300,000 grant and $500,000 of the loan is
allocated to the Howard Street Extension I project; and
WHEREAS,the Howard Street Regional Stormwater Facility budget total includes
$160,000 in City funds and $700,000 in CERB loan funds; and
WHEREAS, this project has been identified on the City's adopted 2016—2020 Capital
Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, staff will return to City Council regarding a CERB loan repayment plan;
and
WHEREAS, the City has selected AHBL as the consultant for the design of the Howard
Street Regional Stormwater project; and
WHEREAS,the City Council must authorize the City Manager to award and sign all
contracts for the design and construction of the Howard Street Regional Stormwater Project;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend to authorize the City Manager to award and sign all contracts for the design and
construction of the Howard Street Regional Stormwater Project.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a regular meeting
thereof, held this 16th day of May, 2016.
