Customer Goal (Demand Side):
The customer goal for 2014-2019 is to maintain city-wide per capita daily consumption at or below
the 2010-2012 three year rolling average of 91 gallons per capita per day.

Average daily per capita consumption was 92 gallons in 2015. While the goal of maintaining daily
consumption at or below the 2010-2012 three year rolling average of 91 gallons per capita per day
(gcpd) was not met, 2015 was an exceptionally warm and dry year. Consumption was considerably
lower than in 2009 (104 gcpd) when there were similar summertime weather conditions.
With the emphasis on interim watershed control and construction of a new water filtration plant there
were limited resources for the level of effort necessary to further reduce customer demand.

Port Townsend has continued a system wide leak detection program and surveyed approximately
29.7 miles of distribution system piping during 2014.
