Board
Minutes of the January 8, 2015, Special
Meeting
City Hall 1st Floor Conference Room
Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 4:35 p.m. Board members present were Jolly Wahlstrom, Lys Burden, Pat Teal, Scott Walker, Richard Dandridge, Mark Henthorn, Sally Chapin, and Mike
Kaill. Deputy City Clerk Joshua Stecker, Project Manager Tyler Johnson, Chief of Police
Conner Daily and Parks and Facilities Manager Alex Wisniewski were also present from City Staff.
Approval of Minutes
The minutes of the December 4, 2014 Regular Meeting were unanimously approved.
Policing
Chief of Police Conner Daily addressed policing issues of pedestrian safety and right of way,
bicycle theft and education. The board discussed providing educational handouts at the ReCyclery and in the City newsletter. The Police Department will try to give attention to
particular areas of traffic concern and will look into commissioning citizens to give warnings to
violators.
Trails Projects Tyler Johnson will extend the availability of the credit at Arrow Lumber for fencing materials. Notices were delivered for the 30th Street trail project on January 31. New Public Trails signs will
be ordered.
Public Works Requests
The board will provide a list of striping project priorities by May. Next Meeting
The next regularly scheduled meeting will be on February 5. A special workshop was scheduled for January 22 at 4:30 to work on a trails project matrix.
