The meeting was called to order by Chairman Deft . Commissioners
present : Deitsp Wojtj Loomis, Lefler, Johnson. The -minutes
were approved as read.
The Staph request for rezone was brought to the attention
of the Commission* Max toomis was asked to contact the
residents of the area and continue the investigation for
the sake of expedience.
Kay Wojt gage a report on the League of Women Voters'
Conference ice held in Port Angeles. Topics of discussion
were,N An Analysis of the EnvironmentalImpact Statement , 'the
'Shoreline Management Act* acid' Conflict of Interest*` Kay
will distribute copies to each commissioner at the next
meeting.
Regarding the budget meeting, Bob Johnson rade a motion t
adopt the proposed budget , and submit it to the council
as theofficial recommended budget from the PlanningC C omm-
ission. Seconded by oomis, vote yes, r� .
Randy TylerCity P .a.rming Consultant , was present to dis-
cuss the results of the syrvey he had presented earlier.
He passed out information from the 'Western Cities" called
"Small Communities KnowThyself" by John Kerrigan. Randy
also presented a five step program for Local Citizens Comm-
unity Goals Program* He suggested setting up a series of
ao=unity meetings for input , and possibly having a. rep-
resentative from the U. of W./Planning Department help with
programing.
Their was a, brief discussion of Mobile Romer.
Harry Deits asked for a list of ma es of possible candidates
for commission membership, to be submitted at the next
regular meeting. He pointed out that shortly there will
be two or three openings. This list will be submitted to
the mayor.
Randy Tyler will go the P.A.W. conference meeting as a
representative of the Planning Commission and the City.
