The January meeting of the Port Townsend Planning Commission
was called to order. The minutes of the previous meeting were
read and approved as read .
Old . Business:
Mr. Bob Clark Clark, Colman ars Rup .eks was to have Aewrt
correspondInce t the Planners by the Januaryl9 l meeting
concerning a*ne questions arriving ffom the sub-division
study session. Because this information ha not been recieved ,
the second study session will be posponed un it a later date .
New Business0
A letter fronts the local AAUW chapter w s read nvit ng the
Planners to attend a meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 26,
7 :30, Jr. High-concerning It The Ecological Use of Power"
referral From the City Counvil to the Planners was discussed .%I0rP&r+

This referral concerns a resolution approving
Pont Townsend in a Fe eipa - am
Federal Rent supplement Program. This Program was
requested by Mr. Harvy And ersn, and Mr. Chuck iacearnsbry q
representing T AMO lnc., A company interested in developing
and building a multiple ple unit structure on the PIdMarine
Hospital Site, - o� provid housing for se �. r citizens
on fined incomes. Members of the Planning Commission present
were in Favor of this t;y-pe program on the site mentioned, and
were assured by the developers that structure design, etc.
would be compatible with the- -*I` of her structures in Part
Townsend. A motion a by J. Pedren to recommend
passage of the proposed resolution for-Gavepam nt

Federal. Rent supplement Program.�' Seconded b Mr. Mayo
An ammendment t the original motion J. Pedersen to
request the City Council torefer future proposals for
Federal Rent supplemtnt Housing to the Planning Commission"
to insure against an over supply in this city, and t
insure that the housing and the sites fit into the over all
plan of the city. The vote was unanimous in favor.

le Two requests by the Carroll Mill Company were discussed.
J. Pedersen made the motion
defer action onthe request for & variance for lot 3 block 6
n Dhe Denny Addition until the nett regular meeting of the
Planning Commission to allow the Commissioners to view the build-
�ng site in question. seconded by B. Johnson. 4 yes vote.
Mr. P. Johnson moved to recommend to the council t o !V9r%MRW&
approve the set back variance request for the West Corner of
Block ll, Kuhns Ranch Addition, inthefor five feet, as
requested by the Carroll Mill Company. Seconded and approved
by four yes vote. r
