Members present were': Marylou Green, Fred Lester, Phil Copps , and
Harry Dietb* IL-r. Clark of Clark,Coleman & Rupeiks, was also present.
The minutes of the previous, ee ing were read and approved,
letter from the Federal Housing Administation regarding the Bishop
ev l opnent Corporation was read. Preliminary plans and surveys
will be sent to the Planning Commission as they develop.
general "Town Meeting" was discussed and an early date in February
was chosen depending upon availability of the fila "No Time For
Ugliness".
Dost of the subs"conittee reports have been turned in and Chairman
Green stated that another meeting of the Planning Commission will
be ne e s sa ry before the Town Hail meeting so tha all ideas and
suggestions will be in concrete form.
Betty Temple stated all recormendations of the Planning Commission
were taken into consideration and by the next meeting they hope t
have something to present in regard to the Shopping Center,
Councilman Ruby read a petition to the state Hiway Dept. regarding
widening of highway. He stated that endorsements from organizations
by letter would help get the bail rolling. & general discussion
Was held but no recommendation could be made until the status of
the railroad right of way was looked into.
Mr. Clark stated that everything is squared away for the start of
the 2nd phase and approval should come within a month. Papers will
be presented to the Commission for acceptance and approval.
Mr. Copps passed out copies of an Industrial Survey on Fort Townsend
put out by the site of Washington. He stated that our city was
picked for the survey because of past cooperation with the state.
