The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. letter
from Clark-Coleman & Rupeks giving progress report luas read.
letter from the Plan. Colne to the City Council regarding Building and
Fire codes was read. Chairman Green read off nares of people to
serve on the six sub-oommittees and stated that :more are needed and
can join at any t ire.
The meeting vies turned over to I�r. Clark vho displayed several large
maps and explained their use in the initial inventory phase of
existing end uses locations of buildings and condition of structures.
The planning area cons i s s of to square miles and most of it i
inside the city limits* A, little over 6 % of the area is residential.
Phase 1 of the comprehensive plan is 60 a oompleted and should be
completed in late July or early ugust'& The next phase will basically
e an analysis of land consumption and at the end of this phase a
preliminary plan will be given to the community.
Chairman Duane Cloc sin of the County Planning 6Q Recreation Commission
displayed maps of the county and stated that only 23 is privately
owned and taxable - the gest of the land eonsists of national parks,
national forests9 public agencies and land belonging to the state.
Close cooperation between the of ty and planning groups wan discussed.
Idr. Clark listed some ofthe advantages f joint planning in such
areas as zoning and water development.
