Those present were Mrs.Greent Mro Diets, Mr. Lindquist,, Mr. Lester and Mayor Su.l Iivane The meeting was called to order by acting Chairman Mrs. Green. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approv de First order of business was to welcome Mr.Fred Lester who had been appointed to the Planning Commission by Mayor Sullivan* A resume was ven Mr. ester on the activities and plans of the Board to datee discussion was held n eleoting a permanent Chairman. Mrs. Green stated she believed all members hull present when ch inn i elected Between the last meeting February 12th and the present meeting the following companies were contacted and interviewed February 26th R.W.Beok March 3rd - Leo A.Daly March 4th - Clark, Colman & Rupeiks poll of the Board members present showed the preference to be Clark, Colman & Bupeiks but a Mote to choose Planning Consultant was deferred until entire Board can be present so a speofal meeting may be called next week for that purpose* The permanent office of the Planning Commission will be the Business Office Building at Fort Warden instead of the Fire Hall because of most- space for meetings , filing, eto. Mayor Sullivan gave a report on streets - no more black topping until next year and thea city will have 080,000* for streets. Be stated h will appoint a council member to attend Planning Commission meetings to replace Joe Steve who was defeated at the polls. Boy Lindsay was the councilman nam de Mrs. Green stated that the Planning Commission will be in attendance at next City Council meeting to give them a brief resume of Commission activities* general discussion was held on sewers, treatment plant and pol tion . It was brought out that dewage problems will be handled by the comprehensive plan and that the city and county should work together on surer and street problems. The Planning Consultant handles all paper work on the 701 program. The next meeting of the Planning Coraaissi n will be the 2nd Wednesday of April unless notified of a special meeting.
