Upon checking the zoning we found that P 1 was not zoned far restaurants , although two have operated in the past at Pt. Hudson. ilre have put much time and energy into explori'ng the necessary means to go ahead with our project, ( we started 3*,n Oct. 1980 ) , and have Found by talking to fir. Abraham, Mr. Floyd and Mr. Denni' son that a change, or addition to the zoning ordinance is necessary; and also that such a change has been desired and pending for some time , just waiting mor the necessary 'impetus to start the ball rolling. We hereby request that the zoning code be amended to allow the operatio of a small restaurant in P 1 zoning . IVe can also understand the caution required to control P 1 areas and feel a variance or conditi'onal use requirement would provide sufficient screening and safety. IVe feel a small cafe at Pt. Hudson is a natural ( we wi' ll only seat apprx. 25 P eope ) , and would Provide valuable and needed dD service to visitors as well as local workers of this area. IVe would also provide employment for up to 10 people, thus helping our local economy. • We have the aPP9rova]. and blessings of the Port 14anaer and George Raleigh an this venture. Your immediate attention on this matter would be greatly appreciated, as we have been trying to find the proper form to follow for over four months.., and cannot,, afford to tie up our finances or tine much longer.. Thank you for your consideration. This letter was written at the request of Mr. Dennison to help clarify and specify phis request. Very Truly Yours : Landfall Restaurant Don Ferrari and .
