Opening Business Members present were Don Hoglund, Nancy 61ater, Jay Gibson, Bob Gram., Jim 'avernakls, and Alan Oarmen. Present also was Mayor Sbirley: Chairman 6later called, the meeting to order at -7*30 P.M. Alan Carmen was introduced. Minutes of January 10, 1985 were approved as written. Chairman 61ater stated that the only correspondence was from Mayor hirley stating the appointment of Mr. Caen to the Commission. i I. Application No. 1084-01 Stanley Dick Short Subdivision 926 M. St. Port Townsend The Commission gent through the Short Subdivision Checklist to make sure all things were completed and since they were Don Hoglund moved to recommend approval of Short Subdivision Application No. 1084-01 as it was in compliance with the Subdivision Ordinance. Bob Grimm seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous. III. Application No. 283.01 Dujardin Development Co. Planned Unit Development P,Oe Dox 5308 Application No. 283-02 Everett, Wa. 98206 Street Vacation Mr. Lloyd Rep an, Du ard It was explained to him that a Planned Unit Development was a contract between the developer and the nifty in order to protect the area. The motions died of lack of a second. He moved again to table until. February 28 but again it died with lack of a second. Mr. Grum felt it was unfair to the applicant to cause him to wait so long and that the project was a good one and a P.U.1 . is a contract to the city and if it were not built iTithin a certain time limit would not then be allm-md to. Mrs Grimm moved to recommend approval. to Application No. 283-,02 and No. 283,,01 as it meets criteria of ordinance 1802 Section 5.20 and general basis Ordinance 6.25 ection 4aO5. Mr. Grp moved to recommend,-to the City Council the approvals of Applications No,, 283-01 a P.U.D. and 283.-,02 a street vacation as it meets the criteria of ordinance No. 1802 Section 5.20 and on a general basis ordinance 6.25 oection 4.05 with the condition that the City Attorney's opinion idiether street vacation falls under* new ordinance that requires payment to the city. Don Hoglund seconded the motion and the vete was 3 for Hoglund, GrimmY Gibson) and 2 against later, Tavernakis). Bob Grimm agreed to write the report for the City Council.. Council to sena a letter thanking Mrs. Menefee for her service as chairman. Everyone was in agreement. Mr. Tavernakis stated that Brain Keyes was interested in b carving a member of the commission. Chairman Slater suggested to 14r. Tavernakis that he inf nn M. . Keyes es o send a letter to the -mayor expressing hisinteret and it could be kept on' file until another vacancy is available.
