Jinn Tav rnaki s
Chairman, Planning Commission
City of Port Townsend
540 Water* Street
Port Townsend, WA 98368
Dear Mr,. Tar rna i s,
The Historic Preservation Commission, after considerable
deliberation and public input, hereby forwards to you our final
draft of an ordinance to establish a non-b fi#ding design review
process within the Port Townsend Historic District,
Realizing you have a full schedule ahead of you, l would however
urge you to tape up this proposed addition to the Port Townsend
Municipal l Code as soon as possible. Port Townsend is on the
brink of unprecidented expansion in our downtown -III and P-
zones, and the sooner we have a design review "process in place
the less likely the chances of incompatible development within
this area.
I would be happy -to provide any help or additional information to
facilitate your prompt attention to this matter,
