Updated 11/20/15
The City is currently in Drought Response Stage 1 which mandates alternate day outdoor watering
restrictions. Even numbered addresses are only allowed to water on even numbered days and odd
numbered addresses may only water on odd numbered days. Drought Response Plan details are available
at https://weblink.cityofpt.us/weblink/0/doc/118749/Page1.aspx. With stream flows returning to normal the City
Council will consider rescinding the emergency water supply declaration at the December 7th council
meeting.
A series of storms this past week resulted in high stream turbidity. This required using Lords Lake as our
water supply and the lake level dropped again as a result. Clear weather and declining turbidity will allow
us to resume refilling the reservoir this weekend. Lords Lake was at 10’ 4” this morning, with approximately
125 million gallons stored in the reservoir. City water use averaged 670,202 gallons per day over the past
seven days, 35,859 gallons lower than the previous week.
Water conservation tip of the week:
Reuse leftover water from cooked or steamed foods to start a nutritious soup.
