Even numbered addresses are only allowed to water on even numbered days and odd numbered addresses may only water on odd numbered days. Drought Response Plan details are available at https://weblink.cityofpt.us/weblink/0/doc/118749/Page1.aspx. Stream flows earlier this week allowed the addition of approximately 35 million gallons to Lords Lake reservoir. Heavy precipitation beginning Thursday evening has required drawing from the reservoir again due to high river turbidity. Lords Lake was at 14’ 2”” this morning, with approximately 180 million gallons stored in the reservoir. City water use averaged 706,062 gallons per day over the past seven days, 14,111 gallons higher than the previous week. The Mill had pumps installed in Lords Lake this week in the event it was necessary to draw water from below the lowest intake, a lake level of approximately 3’. At this time, with stream flows increasing and the reservoir beginning to be replenished, it does not seem likely that use of the pumps will be necessary. Water conservation tip of the week: Do you use a dehumidifier in your home? When you empty the water in your dehumidifier reservoir, don’t just pour it down the drain. This water can be used for watering plants or flushing the toilet. Since water collected from a dehumidifier is technically distilled, it can be used in irons, automotive lead-acid batteries, and in your vehicle’s coolant system.
