The City is currently in Drought Response Stage 1 which mandates alternate day outdoor
watering restrictions. Even numbered addresses are only allowed to water on even numbered days and odd numbered addresses may only water on odd numbered days. Drought Response
Plan details are available at https://weblink.cityofpt.us/weblink/0/doc/118749/Page1.aspx.
The municipal watershed received 3” of rain last weekend that boosted stream flows and
allowed refilling of Lords Lake to begin. The reservoir reached a low of 8’ 5” on Monday and
since then has been raised by 2’ 5”. Lords Lake is at 10’ 9” today, with approximately 130
million gallons stored in the reservoir, and the Big Quilcene River is supplying 19.1 million
gallons per day. Additional rain will be needed to maintain sufficient water in the rivers to fully
refill the reservoir, which will likely take two months. City water use averaged 691,951 gallons
per day over the past seven days, 21,151 gallons less than the previous week.
