Updated 8/7/15
Lords Lake is down a total of 24” today or approximately 40 million gallons from the starting full
level. The Quilcene Rivers are still supplying approximately 5.5 million gallons per day or about
45 percent of total demand. City water use averaged 1,462,000 gallons over past seven days,
111,000 gallons more than the previous week however, consumption has been on a downward
trend over the past five days.
On 3 August 2015 the City Council incorporated more aggressive conservation measures in the
recently adopted Drought Contingency Response Plan which immediately mandated an
alternate day outdoor watering restriction. Even numbered addresses are only allowed to water
on even numbered days and odd numbered addresses may only water on odd numbered days.
The Drought Contingency Response Plan will be subject to revision based on the most current
water conditions. The revised plan can be viewed at.

Water conservation tip of the week:
Re-use water whenever possible. While waiting for hot water to come through the pipes, catch
the cool water in a bucket or watering can. Rinse fruits and vegetables over a bucket or pan.
You can use this water later to water plants, run your garbage disposer, or pour into the toilet
bowl to flush.
